1) Which part of the course are you looking forward to most?

I’m looking forward to the creative side of the coarse.

2) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media? I want to learn about the media industry and about how media products are made.



 

3) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media (5-9)?

I'm hoping to achieve anything above like 6.

4) What was the last TV programme or film you watched?  the last film I watched was hush.

 

5) Why do you think that TV programme or film appealed to an audience? Why would an audience like it? I think the audience would like the film becuase it’s filled with jumpscare and the main character is deaf and muted in the middle of the woods.

 

6) What technology have you used to access the media in the last 24 hours? (Radio, TV, phone etc.) Tv.

 

7) What device do you use most to access the media?

Either my phone or the tv.


9) Why was the casting of Jodie Whittaker a significant moment in the history of Doctor Who? It was significant becuase she was the first female doctor  in the series of doctor who.


10) What aspects of this scene do you think an audience might enjoy? List at least three things and explain why the audience would enjoy each aspect. The first part would be the doctors fare well speech which seems like it’s directly the audience that are watching it and are that his fans.The music playing whilst he’s speaking is very emotional. The second part is the transfer of doctors where the audience is being shown the last part of the doctors life followed quickly by the revealing of the new doctor which would bring excitment to the audience.The music for this part is up beat and very exciting. The last part is as the audience is adjusting to the new doctor suddenly there is danger and the show finishes on a exciting cliffhanger. 


Extension question: What can you spot in Doctor Who that you will find in most television dramas? (E.g. characters, dramatic music etc.) These are called key conventions - list as many as you can think of.  The settings, the music playing in the backround, music matching the theme and the characters.


Extension question 2: What would a Doctor Who fan ('Whovian') particularly enjoy about this scene?  


The end of an era and the beginning  of a new one.
